- Avoid static electricity
This happens so commonly in the winter time. This might be the worst experience of all especially when you are wearing a sweater in the cold weather, your hair is going to be static and fly all around your head. The simplest technique to avoid this situation is to keep a regular anti-static dryer sheet with you. You only need to gently wipe your hair with this and the problem is solved. It is quick, easy but super effective.
- Avoid frequent hair washes
Over washing your hair is actually a bad thing that can strip off the natural oil on your scalp which makes your hair even more brittle and damaged. Therefore, try to define your hair type and get yourself suitable washing day per week. An alternative is to extend your washing day and use dry shampoo in between to absorb the excess oil and prevent the grease look. Another thing to remember is never skip conditioning after shampooing your hair. Even if you are not in the mood of washing your hair then rinse your hair with conditioner only. It is also a great help for moisturizing your hair without over washing it.
- Get outside with wet hair?
The thing is even in other period time of the year, you should not expose your hair to the environment, especially when it is wet. When your hair is wet, it is very weak, not to mention, it can easily catch the dirt, build up and pollution in the air. Moreover, in the winter months, the weather is cold that can make your hair freeze leading to breakage and damage. As the result, protect your hair with a hat, a scarf or a beany is the best thing you should do and never rush out of your house with damp hair.
- Prevent the dullness
It is obvious that the dry and cold weather will make your hair look dull and lifeless. One trick is to use color treated hair product to revitalize your hair’s shine. Or a simpler way is to use some apple cider vinegar which does the same trick that adds a better shiny look to your dull hair. Apart from that, you should also prevent the products that contain silicone, sulfate, and alcohol which will make your hair even more vulnerable. Besides, use deep condition mask regularly and avoid using heat on your natural hair as much as possible.
