It is obvious that curly hair is not easy to take care of at all. It needs to be favored and paid attention to more than normal hair even as for natural curly hair or chemical treated curly hair. Today we are going to show you step by step to take care of curly hair.
Step 1: Shower & Shampoo
The trick in showering and shampooing process is to wash your hair with warm water instead of scorching hot water or cold water. It is because warm water will work great on stimulating the blood circulation on your scalp and romote your hair growth at the same time.
Secondly, the more natural, the better. It is recommended to use paragon, sulphate-free products to your hair. Besides, you should go for chemical-treated hair products for eve better result.
Don’t forget to treat your scalp with some massage while shampooing your hair. It will make your scalp cleaner and more importantly, it helps to maintain your scalp healthy and fresh.
Step 2: Conditioner = Your Best Friend
Conditioner is a must in the washing process for sure. Don’t ever underestimate it because it keeps your hair hydrated and strong. Focus the ocnditioner on the mid-shaft area and down because this area need mosture more than the root area. However, you can also put a bit of conditioner to the roots and face framing pieces. Leave it on your hair for a few minutes, wearing a plastic cap is advised in this case because it creates the green house effect and make the nutrients better absorbs into your scalp. Last but not least, rinse your hair with cold water to give it a shiny look.
Step 3: Stylers & Rinse
A recommended techniwue to stle your hair without causing too much damage to your natural hair is to do it while your hair is still wet. The best way to apply the product is to rake it through your natural hair and scrunch it in for extra volume. Some gels or cream is great to provide your hair with some moisture and nutrients. Besides, use a micro-fibre towel to dap your hair dry will be perfect to minimize frizz. Don’t use normal towel which is made from cotton because it can cause some irritation to your natural hair.
Step 4: Air Dry or Diffuser
Air dry is for sure the best way to dry your hair after washing. It will give your curly or wavy hair extra volume and cause no damage to your hair at all compared to using a hair blow dryer. Nonetheless, if you are in a hurry then we recommend to use a diffuser to dry your hair. It is not the first choice but it can be the alternative for busy bees.
Step 5: Finish Off Your Look
To finish off the touch, use a shine serum or spray through your hair. It is the same to shampoo products, opt for sulphate, paragon and silicone free ones. These recommended products will helps to defne your curls, eliminate fly-aways and make your hair healthy and silky.
